Initially our cooperative was formed as the Ashley-Chicot-Union Electric Cooperative with 99 members from Chicot County, 80 members from Union County and 60 members from Ashley County. The earliest financial history we have of Ashley-Chicot-Union is from 1946 when the rate was 15 cents per kilowatt hour for regular home service. A grand total of 427 members received bills from Ashley-Chicot that year.
